He holds a BA (Nigeria), and an MFA (UK) in Fine and Applied arts; was formerly a Lecturer in the University of Benin, Nigeria (1989—1995). Has been in Studio practice since 1995.
He has featured as guest lecturer in many Universities, as well as speaker in conferences and symposiums in various parts of the globe. He has performed on important platforms in various parts of the world in both conceptual performance art and musical exploits. Some major exhibitions in which he has participated held in Museums and Biennales such as Centre Pompidou; Paris, Hayward; London, Moderna Museet; Stockholm, CCCB; Barcelona, Mira Art Museum; Tokyo, Herzliya Museum; Telaviv, JAG; Johannesburg, Tate Modern; London, as well as Dakar, Havanna and Guangzhou Biennales. He is the initiator of the famous Junkmania creative concepts, and the Founder and Director of the Junkyard Museum Of Awkward Things, Lagos, Nigeria.
